Downgrading to Windows XP (Hard Drive Not Detected)
Posted under Vista, XP by ifoundafixThe other day while browsing the Internet I Found A Fix for a recent problem I was having. The issue is described as follows;
I discovered something when I was downgrading Vista to XP on a HP Laptop.At the start, when booting off the XP install CD, and attempted to install, I got a message saying that the Hard Drive was not detected.
The solution and description to this error is set out below;
There is a setting in the BIOS called SATA Native Mode. Turning this on or off will fix this and then it will allow XP to install at the next attempt.
